The East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit (LRT) project is a transformative infrastructure initiative led by LA Metro, aimed at enhancing transit connectivity and mobility within the San Fernando Valley. The project consists of a 6.7-mile light rail corridor running at-grade along Van Nuys Boulevard from the Metro G Line (formerly Orange Line) in Van Nuys to Pacoima, with 11 new stations planned. The project includes substantial improvements to local infrastructure, utilities, and streetscape, and is designed to provide faster, more reliable transit service for one of Los Angeles County’s most underserved transit corridors. It forms a core part of Metro’s “28 by ’28” plan and is being funded through a combination of local sales tax measures and state/federal sources.

CL Survey is supporting this vital transportation project by providing comprehensive construction surveying services. Services include geodetic control, topographic mapping, boundary surveys, LiDAR scanning, rail corridor surveys, and construction staking—all critical to the accurate execution of construction work along the corridor. CL Survey’s advanced geospatial data and field expertise assist with precise alignment of the rail infrastructure and support efficient coordination among contractors and project stakeholders.
